Prices continue to creep up in our May 1 Puget Sound Fuel Survey (scroll down for survey). Fuel surveys will be released the first and 15th of each month through the boating season. As always, we have attempted to be as accurate as possible. We use multiple sources to gather prices, including talking directly with fuel docks, gathering published prices on their websites, and the free Fuel Docks app (link at bottom). But the best source is you! If you see a different price at the pump, please let us know. We'll make corrections and repost the survey here on the app. Please remember prices can change at any time, so we always recommend calling ahead to confirm the price of fuel before you arrive - ESPECIALLY WITH THE CURRENT HIGH PRICES!
Gas prices continue to hike upwards, this time by an average of 23 cents per gallon (which is at least better than the .68 cent surge recently!). The new average is $6.72/gal. Just four fuel docks are $6.00/gal or less, with Oak Harbor still leading the way at $5.49/gal . Des Moines is the next lowest at $5.97/gal. One fuel dock actually lowered their price of gas! See if you can spot below.
Even though 11 fuel docks actually lowered their diesel prices from last survey, the average still went up .08 cents a gallon (which is way better than the recent $1.14/gallon change in the last survey!). The .08 cents a gallon rise makes the new average $6.98/gal. Four fuel docks are $6.00/gal or less. Hood Canal is the lowest at $5.49/gal. Oak Harbor is second at $5.70/gal.
NOTE: Mason's Sekui and West Beach Resort fuel docks are open for the season! And Rosario is back to being open daily.
Fuel may be expensive, but as always, when you're out on your boat,
