The Boat Geeks #49 - Kate Anderson, Marina Manager, Port of Everett
Kate grew up an avid Pacific NW boater/angler and now manages a marina that contains 2,300 slips (including hundreds of covered slips) and more than 5,000 feet of lineal guest moorage!
Recorded aboard their floating studio in Port Townsend, WA, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Daeron and Darren take a deep dive into the world of boating.
In this episode: The two Ds discover not just a fellow boat geek, but a marina geek, too! Kate Anderson was always around boats growing up, with her grandparent's cabin on Shaw Island a focal point. She even worked summers at Roche Harbor Marina while in college. After working at Elliott Bay Marina and the NMTA, she started at the Port of Everett. Kate talks about all the recent developments and things to do at the marina, including new places to eat and drink in Restaurant Row. Plus, the port hosts 90 events a year like the "Sail-in Cinema" outdoor movie theater and the "Music at the Marina" concert series.
