Welcome to Port Townsend!



One of only three Victorian Seaports on the National Historic Register, Port Townsend is home to neighborhoods of classic Victorian homes, as well as a vibrant waterfront downtown rimmed with ornate Victorian buildings. Coupled with an active arts community and myriad dining options, Port Townsend is a wonderful spot to stop, enjoy, and explore.

MARINAS



Point Hudson - Located on the doorstep of Historic downtown Port Townsend, Point Hudson Marina offers 32 guest slips with an additional 800' of linear moorage. Slip sizes range from 32-70'. Shore power and potable water is available at most berths. There is a pumpout at the southeast end of the south linear dock. A privately owned boatyard with Travelift is located at the head of the marina basin. Guest moorage availability varies, with advance reservations taken for vessels up to 70'. Vehicle and trailer parking is available one block away. Check in time is 1:00pm, check out is noon.



Boat Haven - Approximately one mile south of Point Hudson is the much larger Boat Haven Marina, a modern, full service marina with an abundant supply of guest moorage. Boat Haven provides more than 6,000 overnight guest moorage accommodations for visiting boats each year (maximum vessel length is 100'). Home to 475 commercial and recreational vessels, including a U.S. Coast Guard Station. A fuel dock with gas, diesel, and a convenience store is just inside the main basin. There are two pumpouts (one at each end of the main basin) and a boat launch. For provisioning, there is a Safeway just across the street. 



Port Townsend Boatyard - Located at Boat Haven, the Port Townsend Boatyard is a very popular destination of choice for refits of all types. Featuring two haulout piers, the largest Marine Travelift on site is capable of lifting vessels up to 150' long with a maximum beam of 30' 6", and weighing up to 330 tons. A 75-ton Travelift is also on site. With upland and covered storage available, the shipyard has a capacity up to 200 vessels. All types of repairs can be made with more than 60 marine trades businesses, whether you only need a little assistance or a group of professionals to handle the entire job. For more skilled boat owners, do-it-yourself space is also available.

Beverages/Treats - Looking for a place to wet your whistle? Port Townsend features an broad mix of bars and breweries. Shopping - An eclectic array of charming and unique shops line the streets of downtown Port Townsend. Original art, handmade clothing, antiques and collectibles, and gifts for every taste make shopping here fun and rewarding. A partial list of shops and stores can be found on the PT Mainstreet website.

Galleries/Artists - The Washington State Arts Commission has designated Port Townsend as an offical Creative District. The first Saturday of each month more than 20 galleries and alternative spaces across town keep their doors open late for Art Walk. From 5:00 - 8:00pm many venues offer light refreshments, share demonstrations, and invite visitors to meet and mingle with artists. A list of galleries, artists, and musicians can be found on the PT Creative District website.
