After the shocking price hikes in the first April Puget Sound Fuel Survey, this mid-month survey still went up, thankfully a bit less (scroll down for survey)! Fuel surveys will be released the first and 15th of each month through the boating season. As always, we have attempted to be as accurate as possible. We use multiple sources to gather prices, including talking directly with fuel docks, gathering published prices on their websites, and the free Fuel Docks app (link at bottom). But the best source is you! If you see a different price at the pump, please let us know. We'll make corrections and repost the survey here on the app. Please remember prices can change at any time, so we always recommend calling ahead to confirm the price of fuel before you arrive - ESPECIALLY WITH THE CURRENT HIGH PRICES!
In the previous survey, gas prices shot up an average of 68 cents per gallon! Two weeks later they went up just 24 cents, with a new average of $6.49/gal. 10 fuel docks are $6.00/gal or less, with Oak Harbor still under $4.00 at $3.62/gal (which will change on their next fuel delivery!). Port Orchard is the next lowest at $5.55/gal.
Diesel prices, which went up an average of $1.14 last survey, are still rising. This time the average increase was 48 cents a gallon. That makes the new average $6.90/gal. Two fuel docks are $5.50/gal or less. Oak Harbor leads the way again at $5.39/gal, with Hood Canal right behind at $5.49/gal.
Fuel is definitely expensive! But as always, when you're out on your boat,
Find your Happy Place!
