Download the free OnBuoy app and help build "live" moorage status in WA State Parks on the busy Fourth of July weekend.
PNW boaters know that WA State Park mooring buoys (and DNR buoys, too) are first-come, first-serve. And there's nothing worse than making a long trek on the water to your chosen state park only to find all the buoys are already taken! OnBuoy now has a brand new Public Moorage Check-In Feature. Based on the concept of crowd sourcing, OnBuoy users can now mark park buoys as either Occupied or Available.
This free Check-In feature lets boaters share real-time availability for public moorage. Simply check in when you arrive to help fellow boaters know what's available before they cruise.
This feature is completely free to use. However, you must have the free OnBuoy app (Google version coming soon), be logged in and physically near the moorage in order to change its status.
We think this is a great new feature and are looking forward to using it!
